The H.O.P.E PROJECT

H.O.P.E - Happiness, Optimism, Pragmatism, Enthusiasm

Project "Hope Calendar" - Relaunch planned for 2027 for its 20ᵉ anniversary.
A new era in support of Cambodia's children

Initial background
Spearheaded by Mitch Weber and Ludovic Cazeba following the Ogilvy conference in Siem Reap, this visionary project aimed to create a "Hope" calendar featuring 12 exceptional photographs of children encountered in Cambodia's villages, orphanages, street schools and hospitals. The aim: to celebrate the joie de vivre, hope and resilience of the Cambodian people through the eyes of a new generation, while donating 100% of profits to local organizations such as Siem Reap Hospital and partner schools.

Assessment and recognition
Although the project did not initially come to fruition - leaving room for a third-party initiative - the photographic series was awarded an Honorable Mention in the People category at the 2007 International Photo Awards. These images, imbued with humanity, represent an artistic and committed heritage that Ludovic Cazeba wishes to rehabilitate.

Relaunch 2027 - 20 years of the
project To mark the anniversary of this approach, a reinvented version of the "Hope" calendar will be launched in 2027 in a new form:

  • Expanded edition including previously unpublished testimonials and archives

  • Strengthened partnerships with local and international NGOs

  • Interactive digital platform (children's stories, tracking of actions financed by Ogilvy)

  • Travelling exhibition to accompany the outing

Renewed commitment
This relaunch will symbolize the persistence of a fight: to use photography as a lever for concrete aid to Cambodian children and families. The funds raised will be used to finance educational programs and sustainable medical infrastructures.

"These images have carried an emotion untouched since 2007. In 2027, they will finally find their full social utility."
- Ludovic Cazeba
